Thank you! I moved and renamed a folder and Capture One had some things to say to me about that. Honestly it's things like this that make me prefer using lightroom even though Capture One is technically so much better. I just don't find it intuitive at all. Like why was this simple thing so complicated?! Anyway thank you for your help!

I'm like you, I don't want to do it one by one. I want to fix them all at once to save me time.

It would be most useful if Capture One could "find" candidates and propose them for reconnecting. If a folder has multiple (but not all) files "offline" have it "find" potential candidates based on filename and timestamp and perhaps some other EXIF data it knows about the file that would indicate it might be the right one. Then let us pretty OK or Reconnect or some similar button to accept the suggestions.

    I don't find the "locate" button. I have C1 22

The "locate" function is only relevant to catalogs, and you seem to be working in a session.

EDITED TO ADD: if you choose any one of those file names and search for it on your computer (in Finder or Windows File Explorer as the case may be) can it be found anywhere?

In addition to Ian's note .. you are highlighting an album. You cannot "locate" an album as it is merely a "virtual list". It is not a disk folder. My guess is that you have placed these pictures in a subfolder of the Capture Folder so they do not appear when you select the Capture folder. Press the "+" icon on the Session Favorites panel and navigate to and add the folder where these pictures are supposed to reside. The question mark over the thumbnail implies perhaps you moved them using your OS file navigator? Were they in the Capture folder and did you move them with Explorer or Finder to another folder?

Indeed I use Sessions only for my work as they are much nicer organized. Catalogs I don't understand how they work, since I switch from Lightroom in 2020. but that's a different topic I think.

I renamed the folder where the RAW files were because of a typo when I named it. and then the files got the questionmark and the only option I found is to manually locate each files, or drag and drop the entire folder again.

They all are in Project name> C1, RAW (RAW was renamed)

So if you renamed the folder outside of Capture One, then Capture One wouldn't know where the images had gone. You can actually rename folders inside Capture One by right clicking on the folder name in the System Folders section of the Library tool and choosing Rename from the context menu. That way Capture One will know where the images are at all times, and it will rename the folder on disc for you.

You could try naming the folder back to the (wrong) original name, and then renaming it to the correct name again, but from inside Capture One.

The images listed in the album in the session probably have the old folder location associated with the images. Add the correct folder to the Session Favorites, delete the thumbnails from the album, and add the photos from the Session Favorites folder back to the albums.

Thank you, yes that seems to work around the problem.

The good thing is that the adjustments I made are still in the raw folder so my work is not lost.

Would be nice tho if locate files were available also for sessions not only for catalogs. Or an option like in Lightroom where you could check all selected files in the new location.

Your problem was you were looking at an album. User Collections are not "folders". They are virtual lists. A session has four fixed and known folders: Capture, Selects, Output, Trash. Any other folders must be added to Session Favorites.
