    Never heard that you can activate C1 software with the serial number of a camera. Where did you try to put the number in?

    I assume you need a licence key from C1. You can activate at trial with a license key when you login your C1 account (create one if you don't have already), this is for 30 days. If you do not have an instruction from your camera seller how to activate 3 month, then request support via the link on top of this page, but I would ask the seller first.

    So you entered the serial number and the Camera Series and Camera Model, then got a message to say the 3 month subscription offer was not available to you?

    Exactly. "Serial number is invalid. But that IS my camera's serial number. BTW (and before you ask me), I have double checked it and I also have entered the nomber with several characters that are in front of that number in the camera's body (behind the LCD screen) that is the CMIIT ID (2020DJ10516). I tried it all together (with the serial Number) and by itself. Nothing worked. This camera was purchased last July in Cologne, Germany.

    Do you get the error message AFTER hitting the Blue button for "Get three months free"?

    Have you checked the information about what and who does or does not qualify according to the conditions of the trial?

    I assume you do qualify but if for some reason you do not I suppose that there is some possibility that the error message presented might come up with an invalid serial number response rather than something more accurate to the real reason.

    Yes, that message comes out AFTER i press the blue button. Yes, I have checked. The promo is supposedly for any Fujifilm camera owner. I expect someone at Capture One answer these messages telling me what Im supposed to do.

    I would suggest checking the serial number again. Use the EXIF data from a shot if necessary. It should contain the model and serial number.

    I changed the serial code a little and the identification was accepted. The link then asked me to log in or create an account. Obviously I abandoned the application at that point.

    I would tell you which changes I made but I'm a little concerned that others who may be following this thread anonymously might grab an opportunity to take advantage of your serial number. That may be unlikely but you never know. It could be done by accident if someone tries the whole process and logs in.

    Here is a link to another forum that discusses the topic. It is not a direct help but parts of it may provide some clues although nothing I read was conclusive in relation to your serial number.

    And, of course, I may have stumbled on a valid serial number that is not yours.

    I hate when people show up, benefit from the forum, but won't share.

    I just got a brand new SX10 from Amazon and would like to also get the 3 month subscription, but don't know how to it ?

    This sucks, I didn't know about that 3 months free offer, I register for the Free Express Version, and now it won't give me the free 3 months of full version because I am no longer a new customer, but I just got my camera last week from Amazon.

    Capture One needs to change their tactics, start honoring these offers and making it easy on Fuji Owners to use the software.

    Here I am watching tutorials on how to use Capture One only to find out that you can not create a new session using the Express Fuji version, you need the full version in order to use sessions.

    I think am just returning this camera, and going back to Lightroom.

    Too much hassle just to get access to this software.

    zap's problem, if the solution found was what I seemed to discover, was a misread serial number. Or rather a misread serial identifier character string.

    No information or instructions about claiming the offer in the box?

    Shame on you Fuji .... or Amazon. Or whoever the seller might have been in Amazon Marketplace.

    Yes, I misread the serial number. When placing the right number, it worked,

     

    Regarding the other comment, there´s no secret about the offer. If you have a registered camera, you must have received an email with the October Roundup with the offer. It will lead you to the website´s page to take advantage of it. Then, you have to determine your camera model (X-S) and its serial number. That's it.
