Make a hyperlapse video

I left LR when I moved to Sony, and I really don't want to live between the two programs, or maintain separate catalogues (unless I absolutely have to). I never did figure out PS.

I'm a keen novice interested in hyperlapse for Northern Lights but can only find tutorials on using iMovie. 

What program(s) are others using for hyperlapse?

    Capture One is awful for Timelapse/Hyperlapse work. For some reason C1 has a problem of updating changes to each file in large batches. You will see stuttering in your compiled videos from frames that didn't update and sometimes worse where the frames don't even seem to correspond to their file name. It would be nice to know if there's a way to force C1 to understand that a change was made to the frame before exporting. For now I still use Lightroom with LRTimelapse.
