Cannot Import Files
I recently upgraded my Perpetual Licence on my MacBook Pro, but cannot import any files into Capture One which crashes every time when trying to Import and each time I receive a message to say that C1 quit unexpectedly. I have reinstalled it on a number of occassions but still to no avail. I have checked the settings and all would appear to be ok. Any assistance would be most appreciated as I have spent countless hours on this issue. Thanks.

Both catalogs and sessions fail, on any device? Or does that only apply to preexisting?

I only use the catalogs, and when I click on the Import it does not allow me to even select the external hard drive, or internal for that matter. it just closes C1 and sends a message that it quit unexpectedly

Look in System Preferences I think in Privacy. Capture One requires permission to access storage. It may have not been granted that permission and is failing to pop up to ask for it.

Thanks but it already has access in the Privicy System settings under Files & Folders, Full Disk Access and Accessibility.

It is also possible the app preferences file has gotten corrupt. I've experienced this with Capture One and with other macOS apps.
- Quit Capture One (if its running)
- Go to ~/Library/Preferences
- Select all the CaptureOne files
- Right-click (CTRL-click) and move into a folder (to preserve a copy)
- Restart Capture One while holding down the OPT key so it opens in Recents
- Open app preferences and set up all your preferences
- Try opening one of your catalogs
I am not certain this will solve your issue. This is just one recommendation to try.
If this doesn't resolve the issue I would consider removing and re-installing the app. The upgrade may not have been installed correctly.
Also - the latest Capture One 16.3 installs as "Capture One" vs "Capture One 23" so make sure you are starting the correct app version, and replace your dock icon if necessary.

Thanks for the response. When I go into Library/Preferences I cannot locate any files that relate to CaptureOne at all. Should they be here!!.
I have removed and re-installed the app on a number of occasions with no luck and naturally it is becoming rather frustrating as one could imagine.

So there are no files like these?
