C1 crashes at startup
Hi,
I'm having trouble with C1 on MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1 (but the same was happening on the previous version, that's why I updated the OS to see if that helps).
It crashes right at startup and neither OS update nor reinstalling C1 helped. My C1 is in my mother tongue so pardon me if I translate something differently than it actually is in the eng version. So basically this is what happens when I try to get in:
- Capture One has unexpectedly quit. Would you like to submit an anonymous crash report?
- The database cannot be found. The app couldn't find the database for the catalog.
- The catalog already exists but cannot be read. The name of the file will be changed to /Users/xxxxx/Pictures/Capture One Catalog/Previous Capture One.cocatalog and a new session will be created in its place
- Cannot move a document from a previous session. Leaving.
And that's that. I'm also new to C1 so will be grateful for understanding of the more advanced users.
Any advice in the above matter is more than welcome.
PS. I have already submitted my query to C1 support, but thought maybe someone on here been dealing with the exact same issue already?

It would be helpful if you could share the version and build number of Capture One that you use.
That said, a way to troubleshoot the issue is to force Capture One Pro to start without a session or catalog. Start the program while keeping the Alt/Option key pressed. The program starts and displays the Recent dialog. Create a new catalog with the button below.
Note that this may not work if you are on Capture One Express, but it is worth a try.
