Spot removal vs heal tool

I've noticed that the "spot removal" tool now found under the "Auto dust removal" tab works much better than the "heal tool" for removing blackheads and various pimples/spots on the face.

Is this a bad practice? Any feedback?

  There is no right or wrong, use whichever tool works best for you. I believe the spot removal tool has a limit (100 spots?) but that should be plenty for your use case.

  I agree with BeO that there is not right tool. I use heal tool. I find it exceptional for skin retouching, spots in sky scenes, etc. Some times I have to go to a pixel editor for things like stray hair removal but even that I've found I can do with Capture One in many cases.
