Prints with slight yellowish cast

When I print from Capture One with my Canon Pro 100 managing the print, the colors are spot on compared with my Mac Studio display. If Capture One manages the print using the profile for the same paper provided by Canon, the print has a slight yellowish cast.  Both prints have brightness with Capture One 16.3.2 roughly comparable to the display (it was noticeably darker in previous versions). 

Is the difference in print color due to Capture One's interpretation of the color profile for that paper or the Canon profile is not the same as that in the printer?

Is this why printer managed printing is recommended if you use Canon paper, printer and ink or is there just no advantage to letting an app manage the print?
