I got this email the other day from Capture one.

We are always working to improve our tools for our customers. And in order to provide you with the best creative and collaboration experience, we need to focus on our core products. This means that Capture One Express will no longer be available beginning January 30, 2024.

Express will remain available until January 30, and all images and edits will remain available until this date.

After January 30, you will not be able to download or use Express from the website. Even if you downloaded your license key before January 30, you will not be able to activate your Express license key after January 30.

After January 30, all support for Express will cease.

"ok guys we are facing an issue with the latest release of capture one express ...

    - oh no.

    - yes but we have a solution.

    - really?

    - yes, let's cancel capture one express.

    - Oh great !"

    Smart move C1.

Apparently the C1-company doesn't see a need for a bug-fix . The product will be finished 'already' end of Jan24 .

    Excellent attitude !

Thank you Ian Wilson and C1. I was not expecting that update (with regards to the end of C1express).

In my case, I installed version 16.3.3, but this doesn't show the missing menu bar either... (also not after restarting my laptop). Great, because now I cannot remove the unwanted crop from the lens menu, as the menu is not available and therefore can't be opened...

Walter, I do not understand what I should try. Can you be more specific?

It just occurred to me that you don't have "Workspaces". You may have to remove and reinstall the app.

I removed and reinstalled 16.3.3, still no menu visible:

Your tooltabs are on the right. Are you looking for the thumbnails? Try pressing CMD+B (CTRL+B on Windows) to show/hide the "Browser". You are in View mode.

I pressed CTRL+B, still no menu visible where I can go into the lens menu:

Where to open the lens menu?

Look in the Shape tool tab ("VORM") on the right of your screen. The lens tool should be there.

Ah, thanks, I found! I didn't realize this menu is hidden there. I notice on youtube that that there should be a menu for lens on the left upper side (in my case just 2 buttons). Maybe this is difference bw Express & Pro?

It is always with the tool tabs. You can move the tool tabs panel to the left if you prefer. CMD+SHIFT+T to switch sides.
