Remove or move the "offline" label so it not stays on the way when editing offline.

What problem do you see this solving?
Editing in a catalog while files are offline is annoying because of the "offline" label that sits on the top of the preview.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Everytime I work on location (or anywhere else far from my main computer) with catalogs

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
No. I have contacted the support: they pointed directly to here, asking me to address my "excellent point" to the UX team

Yes

My workflow, depending on client types or projects, works with catalogs and sessions. My files, Catalogs and sessions sit on a direct attached storage and back-ups are made regularely.

I find very convenient to be able to work on those catalogs on other computers without having to copy ALL the photos: previews on catalogs are good enough to cull, tag, and do small edits. This way, I just have to sync catalogs on all my computers, but I don't need to also sync all the photos. I can even import a bunch of photos, sync back my catalogs, and locate the new files. This way, I can use the same catalog on location, or even on my couch.

Long story short, this is not about my workflow.

unfortunately, the "offline" label is always on the way, it sits on the top the photo. Not a deal breaker in my workflow, but VERY annoying. It would be very nice to be able to hide it or to put it anywhere else but ON the photo.

    I have a very simple opinion: use a bigger external storage, just that - unless current 4TB SSDs* are too small for your needs.

    I guess that this label is sort-of protection against actually working with files being offline, so it is explicitly supposed to be annoying and disturbing.

    * I specifically mention SSDs, as they are more mobile than HDDs due to both weight and lack of mechanical parts. External HDDs go up to 20TB nowadays with a single drive, so there is benefit for them as cold storage, but not very practical when trying to work on several machines at once.

    You make a really good point.  I would like an option to turn off the 'offline' labels too, as they are very annoying.
