Nikon original filename/jump to next image

I am using Nikon to USB tether for quick feedback on shoots. 1

Is there anyone to keep the original file names that correspond to the files on the internal memory card. I am shooting lots of files so will download from camera later in day when the shoot is over. Just would like if I find a great file to be able to quickly reference it later.(for example iPad is naming images Nikon 0002 and camera will be _DSC3345)

When shooting and client is looking at an image on the iPad, can they stay on their image instead of looking at the most recent?

Tethering doesn't permit keeping camera original file names. The data is sent directly to the computer before the camera ever creates a file name for it.

Interesting. Thank you for your reply. Any chance you know about my second question of not immediately jumping to the newest image when shooting tethered to an iPad?
