Amend barcode after scanning

Hi.

 

 We are using C1 Enterprise and wanting to scan in our barcodes, but we don't need the whole number.

We need apple script to auto run so that after we scan in a barcode it will remove the 1st and last 4 numbers. So then we can name my files with the correct barcode.

    If that’s all you are doing it sounds relatively straight forward. I’m on the road at the moment and not in front of laptop so can’t help right now. If you want to track the barcodes to an online database send me a note dev at required tech dot io

    Hi 

    thanks for replying. I don't need to track the barcodes, I just need to scan in the barcode into the Barcode tool in C1 Enterprise and have the script run automatically to remove the first number and the last 4 numbers as these are not needed. 

    This number is then used as the file name for the next set of images (until the next barcode is scanned in).
