Re-organsing folders shown under 'Folders' drop-down in catalogues

What problem do you see this solving?
Folders shown under 'Folders' drop-down in 'Catalogues' are displayed by alphabetic/date order, ONLY. There is no option to select: 'order by date' in this tool.
When storing tens of thousands of images in numerous main folders, and many hundreds of individually dated sub-folders, the inability to 'order by date' is a significant hindrance.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Yesterday, but the problem has affected me for months. It slows my workflow and is an unnecessary issue.

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
There is no work-around. Capture One's Technical Team has confirmed this to me in a direct reply to my query. It is they who suggested that I submit this request - for the benefit of all C1 users.
