Name the raws before creating your TIFFs.

I can add that there is a "batch rename" option in browser, which allows using about the same set of tags, as naming tool in export tab.

    Thank you both for replying.

Walter Rowe: In the ideal situation that is what I should have done, but still it is not fool proof.
Sometimes another photo comes in because I missed in during culling and than the whole naming is out of sync. So I think, in Ideal situation, I'd love to rename them to finale name just before exporting so the export recipe can use that naming.

Marcin Mrzygłocki: perhaps I don't follow quite what you mean. But I've been thinking about this whole afternoon and I think there is no simple method to do what I need, because it will need soms smart thinking of C1. If this, than that.. If not.. I'm not sure still what the best method is.

Walter's idea is nice, but I do not cull spot on the first time. My head can't do that.

If you batch rename files with a counter, you can set the counter increment. So you could have a counter going

    0010

    0020

    0030

    ... and so on.

If you later decide to include another image that wasn't included at first, you could give it (manually) a number to fit it in to the sequence in the right place so for instance 0023.

Thank you for the idea Ian Wilson. This would be a rather workable solution with some tweakes perhaps.
It would be really amazing if pairs (RAW & Tiff) someway somehow would stay together and share a similar file name of some sorts.

I appreciate all your input, thanks so much.
