Recent changes to update and access to release notes unacceptable
I have been a C1 subscriber for years. I am extremely irritated at the changes you have made to updating C1 and accessing the release notes.
I should not have to navigate a page designed by a bunch of marketing and sales people to update my software, The update page is now focused on trying to upsell me rather than allowing me to just update my software. Nobody else does this! Most software will just update itself with minimal user interaction. It is especially frustrating to me because I simply do not care about your new "live" features.
Also, give me the release notes! What are you thinking? Hunting for the release notes is now a complete pain, or at least they were moved to a non-intuitive place that is difficult to find. Do they show up in the stupid pop-up window that reappears after every update? Of course not, because that would be a great user experience. Do they show up on the download page like they used to? Of course not because you are too busy trying to sell me something.
Remember, your software is a subscription. There are already things about your software that a user has to endure that make it borderline as to whether it is worth it or not. Arguably, you are behind the state of the art in many ways. You are again pushing me close to the "it is not worth" space. If this continues, you will make it an easy decision to just move away at my next renewal.
Maybe that is just the reality I need to face. I am not a professional photographer servicing clients. This is a hobby to me and I don't need or want to spend a ton of time fiddling with my tool. I just want it to work.
The quality of C1 output is absolutely fantastic. That is why I have endured some of the esoteric nonsense that you put on your users.
If you are intentionally moving your offering away from "prosumers" then you are on the right path. If you expect to keep us, you need to mend your ways as the offerings are more competitive than ever!
If you expect to keep your prosumer customers, you need to invest more in features that help them.

The quickest way to go to the release notes is possibly to Google for Capture One Release Notes, which finds this page straight away.
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/categories/360000430178-Release-notes
You could bookmark that page if it would help.
Alternatively, from within Capture One choose Resource Hub from the Help menu, click the Support tab and there's a link to Release Notes there too.
And there is no need for a lot of hassle when there is an upgrade, especially if you are on a subscription. Just log on to your account at the Capture One website and click the Download link. You'll see this page

and you just click the Download button.

I have no idea what you’re complaining about. After entering C1 website release notes are exactly 2 clicks in the website. Support->Release notes. What’s wrong with that?
