in the latest version downloaded yesterday I cannot delete multiples pics

hello there

I used to TAG red all bad pix and select them all and then click IMAGE/Delete from the disk /

but now I cannot select multiples imagesnn its one by one. When ai Want to click to the first one and go to the last one to have them all selected I have the layer tool and not this 'hand'.  SO it just delete one??? I Have 800 to delete.

  In the Image menu make sure this is checked...

  

  ... or that this button on the toolbar is toggled on.
