Import of many files > 300

The import starts. The progress bar is displayed correctly. However, it appears that no images are being imported. It also takes a very long time. 
If you try again, a message box appears saying that the files have already been imported. 
You can only import large quantities of files via the Files app, not directly.

    Please file a bug report. I reported a similar issue in November 2023 and they are still just at the "investigate" stage. Importing photos is broken badly and it sounds like they are not taking the problem seriously.
