Problem with Mac mini M2 Pro + Eizo 4K CS2740 PLEASE HELP :)
Hi everyone.
I hope that there is someone here who also works with a Mac mini M2 Pro (10C CPU, 16C GPU, 32 GB RAM) and an Eizo 4k monitor (CS 2740) and can help me.
When working in general and especially when working with clone layers and repair layers, Capture One reacts very slowly.
When working with clone layers, the clone layer is built up very slowly (you drag the mouse and the cloned areas are only built up with a delay or not directly. ). It simply does not run smoothly.
It is exactly the same with the repair layers.
When moving the sliders, you also don't have the feeling that you're working with a modern system. It also slows down a little.
The funny thing is that when I drag C1 onto the second Full HD Eizo monitor, everything runs much more smoothly...
Does anyone here know the problem and have the same system? Or does anyone have an Eizo CS2740 and a Mac with which it runs perfectly and smoothly? If so, which one is it? Does it really have to be the expensive Mac Studio M2 Ultra?
Then I will have to cancel the subscription and look for an alternative.
I think the program is great, but it has to run.
C1 is up-to-date: 16.3.5
I work with Fuji X Files (XT5)
Mac is up to date: Sonoma 14.3.1
I would be very happy if someone gets in touch. :)

I use M1 Max Mac Studio (10C CPU,32C GPU,16C Neural Engine,64GB RAM) and EIZO CS2740.
C1 is 16.3.5
Mac is 14.3.1
Both clone and heal brushes work fine with no delay.0 -
FirstName LastName thank you very much for your quick response.
Could you do me a favor and give me some info on the individual points? It would be interesting to know what settings you have made in C1:
- Capture One -> Settings -> General -> Hardware Acceleration -> Auto or Never?
- Capture One -> Settings -> Image -> Preview Image Size (px) ?
- Capture One -> Settings -> Image -> Preview Generation- What screen resolution did you select in the Mac settings?
- I think that the native resolution 3840x2160 is set too high. Everything is displayed too small. I think 2560x1440px is perfectIs everything running smoothly and well for you and you have no problems?

- Capture One -> Settings -> General -> Hardware Acceleration : Auto
- Capture One -> Settings -> Image -> Preview Image Size : 5120
- Capture One -> Settings -> Image -> Preview Generation : optimized for quality
- Mac settings 3360x1890px : Sure, it's small, but I'm used to it.
I have not experienced any problems with the C1 operation so far, although there are some that are in the community bug reports.

I have the same monitor, but a different Mac. I had the same issue, solved by turning off display scaling in Mac display settings.
