switching between work stations

Hi Guys, I currently have perpetual licence 16.2.... and don't have any issues when moving between my laptop, studio and office computers - I can switch between work station without having to sign in and out. Can any one tell me if the same happens when on a subscription? or is the licence more restrictive now.
