A generous act
Dear CO team,
I wrote to you in support, I will publish it here too if you don't mind.
Why was it necessary to take away free licenses? I had a free version for Fujifilm that I used for several years. There weren’t exactly enough functions, but they were enough for export and regular editing. Since you once gave this program as a gift a long time ago, was it really impossible to leave it without updates? I process 2-5 photos per month and you offer me to buy a license for € 29.00/month? I think you'll lose enough customers this way. For example, I will definitely think about buying the same Adobe Lightroom, it can be purchased at least 3 times cheaper. But it's not that. Customer loyalty cannot be gained in this way - by taking away the app 4 years after it was given as a gift.
Good luck in business,
Alexander

If you only process 2-5 photos per month, then you might find that the mobile offering is better for you.
However, as I understand it, that's probably not an option for you right now. I can appreciate the way you feel and hope to welcome you back one day, in any capacity.
In any case, thanks for taking the time to write on the forum, maybe you can stick around and get some workflow tips or advice on Capture One mobile, if it does seem suited to your needs.
