OM 1 Mk2/Capture One Pro 23 workaround
Hi, I'm a pro Photojournalist for an online news agency who gave up on Lightroom once I discovered C1. Since version 6 or 8 I've been using the C1 and migrated to Olympus/OM systems cameras a while ago. The OM 1 Mk 2 is not supported by C1-23 yet and so I resorted to LR much to my chagrin! It has been a topic of concern in our newsroom with several visual folks joining the discussion to find a workaround until an official response is forth coming.
So, here's the simple answer, if you can handle this. Import your RAW .ORF files into Lightroom. Without doing anything else to them, export as .DNG files to a new folder and import that folder into Capture One Catalog.
It's an extra step but solves the issue of getting OM1 Mk2 files into C1 23 where you can edit with your favorite editor. I've checked as much as I can down to simple masking etc and everything works! It's a pain but I'm back using C1 again.
Cheers!

I’m not an Olympus shooter so I can’t test this but wouldn’t the Adobe DNG Converter be easier? Here’s a link for more info. https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/adobe-dng-converter.html

Brian Jordan Yes probably but I'm not familiar with that software as much as I am Lightroom. Maybe 6 of one and half dozen of the other kind of scenario? I'm just thankful to have a solution that gets me using the C1 software again. So many times I'm in situations where I'm forced to use available light and relatively hi ISO and C1's performance in that realm is much better than LR. Thanks for the response. Cheers!

Adobe DNG is the exact same conversion engine as LR **if** all you're doing is importing the RAW then immediately exporting the DNG. If you're doing other edits inside LR, then DNG isn't going to help. So if the former, give it a shot. It's free. Why not? If the latter, keep on keepin' on.

@Brian Jordan exactly what I'm doing - no edits in LR at all just an in and out procedure to get the .orf's to a .dng - I'll give it a try and see which one is faster. Thanks again! Cheers!

This isn't feedback about the forum. Moving to a more appropriate topic.

I basically use the same workaround. But since I don't have a Lightroom licence, I use the OM Workspace to convert the RAW files to TIF files. It's a tedious extra step and unfortunately you're also working with extremely large files (about 120 MB). As soon as Capture One can process the RAW files of the OM 1 ii, I will copy/paste all adjustments from the TIF files to the RAW files in Capture one and then delete the TIF files.
