Keeping track of variants

Is there a convenient way to rename raw variants with something unique for each, in order to help keep track of them? Most comments I see are quite old. Thank you!

Using version as of March 26, 2024 (build 16.3.7.1979 (49edc1c)).

  No - currently there is no way of giving variants a different name.

  But it is possible these days to add a variant to an album without adding other variants of the same image to that album, which at one time you couldn't do.
