Possibly you have inadvertently dragged the Export Recipes tool out t become a floating tool. Or you could have created a separate floating instance of the recipe tool.

I can't see the title of the tool in your screen shot, but I am not sure whether that is because it isn't there, or because the screen shot didn't extend up as far as that.

If you can see the title bar of a floating tool, you should see a ... symbol. Click it, and one of the options is to remove the tool.

If you do that it closes the floating instance of the tool.

You'll want to check the Export tool tab and see whether the Export Recipes tool is still there. If it isn't, you can restore it by right-clicking in the tool tab, choosing Add Tool, and selecting it from the list.*

*Or if you already know that the Export Recipes tool is not on the tool tab you can just drag the floating tool back into the tool tab.

    Hello Ian

    Thank you for your reply.

You have it. The title of the tool isn't visible. What you saw in the screenshot is all of it. it's just hanging there right up against the top of the screen with no title visible. I did wonder if it is a bug and I need to reinstall the software??

Assuming you have already tried restarting Capture One, and restarting the computer, you could try resetting the workspace to the default.
