You can create a custom keyboard shortcut for an aspect ratio.

Edit>Edit Keyboard Shortcuts, then click the Custom Shortcuts tab. Click the + to add a new shortcut, then in left hand column choose Crop Aspect Ratio, then in the middle column select the ratio you want to assign a shortcut to, and in the right hand column, type your shortcut. Repeat as required for as many ratios as you want to do this for.

Or while cropping, right click on the image and choose a ratio from the context menu.

Thank you so much Ian for your explanations!

The solution from the contextual menu is a good help!

Concerning the shortcut, I don't understand how it is feasible.
It seems my options are not the same as yours :'/

I can't see "Crop Aspect Ratio", I have only this... Do I make a mistake?

    Thanks
    Eric

Click where it says "Editer avec" (Edit with in the English version I use) and you should get a drop down list of other options, including crop aspect ratio (sorry I don't know what the French version says for that).

If I select "Edit with", I have this (I have to select an app to edit the photo)

I realize that I have twice the "Shortcut keys" tab, while your 3rd one is "Custom shortcut" (which could be translated "Raccourcis personnalisés" in French).

But this is just a translation mistake. If I used the English interface, I get the same result:

"Edit with" reacts as shown here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1twJirm9i7Y

I meant that you should click where I have shown 1 on this screenshot. Choose the aspect ratio option there if you have it. Then click where I have shown 2 to pick the aspect ratio you want. Then at 3 enter the shortcut you want to use for that. (The screenshot you show looks as though you had Edit With at 1, then chose Other at 2.)

If you don't see Crop Aspect Ratio at 1, can we check what version of Capture One you are on? (Isn't it below Editer avec on the list shown in your screenshot?)

Custom shortcuts is the same thing as the Raccoursis clavier tab on the right, I think. Certainly it is showing the interface I would expect to see for that. I agree that there must be a translation problem there because the first tab and the third tab would be expected to have different names.

No, I don't have it. I presume you have it cause you used it once (You have only this additional function?)

I have nothing under "Edit With" (Editer avec) as shown here (I have changed the application language to English):

I use Capture One 23 Pro.

I think that keyboard shortcuts for aspect ratios was added after version 23, but I can't immediately track down which version it was added with.

I thought I used the last version (it was C1-23 16-2-3).
I have downloaded C1-23 (16.2.6) but this is the same thing.

If I look the release note, it looks like C1-23 (16.2.6) is the last version (?)

The most recent version is now 16.4.3, released yesterday.

And I've tracked down which version added shortcuts for aspect ratios - it was 16.3.0 which was released 8 months ago.
