Star ratings
Capture one makes it easy to add a 1-5 star rating. Just click one of the 5 dots under the photo to give it the rating you like. You thought it was a 5 star photo and decide it should be 4? Easy, just click the 4th star... and so on. But in a logic-defying move, you decide you don't want to give any stars to that photo you use to think was amazing, you can't just toggle a 1-star rating on or off. You have to either go the adjustments>ratings tab and deselect it there, or know the shortcut. And Capture one offers a vast amount of useful shortcuts. But for all its capabilities and shortcuts, Capture One is maddeningly frustrating because some of this basic logic is ignored or overlooked throughout the application. Just let me click on/off the 1-star rating. But, yeah, there's a menu or a shortcut for that.

You can also do it with a click if you want. Just click to the left of the first star.

Thanks Ian. That is logical and I've tried to do that both where the rating shows up below the thumbnail and below the primary photo / window. That didn't work for me. (Windows 11) Of course the shortcut of punching 0 through 5 is easy and makes sense once you know it, but, from an intuitive standpoint, the logic (at least to me) is to click to add a star / click again to remove the star... without learning any shortcut. Appreciate the graphic. Wish it worked for me.

Maybe it's one of those quirky differences between the Mac and Windows versions.
