Are you sure it isn't? When you use an image taken with that lens, what does it say? If it says manufacturer profile, that means that Capture One is using the profile data from the lens, and doesn't need to provide a profile of its own.

Hello Ian, it has a ‘manufacturer profile’ but other Fujinon lenses also have specific profiles which are more exact in terms of sharpness en light falloff etc. The XF33 is also not listed in the Capture One ‘lens profile support’

Does the manufacture profile on this particular lens give unsatisfactory results?

Yes. Light falloff and sharpness are not correct.

I wouldn’t say capture one profiles are better. I give one example. GF 110 f2 lens manufacturer profile correct distortion in all focus range, one made by capture one properly correct it only closer to infinity. This lens is kind of special because it has significantly different characteristics of distortion based on distance focused. The same is with light falloff for many lenses. For closer focus capture one profiles over correct. Manufacturer profiles on the other hand take into account focus distance and apply correction accordingly. Also most capture one profiles crop images, sometimes significantly.
