Syncronize Folder not creating new folders in the folder list when importing?

When I right click in the folder list and choose "Syncronize..." I get the "Syncronize with changes made on disk." dialogue. But when I check the "Import ### new images" box and the "Show importer" box the files are added, but the folder list is not updated when new folders should be added.

Is this working as intended? It sure doesn't make any sense if it is.
