Export of Canon RAW (CR3) - I can't figure it out
I have a Canon CR3 raw file that I've edited in Capture One. When I export it using the default JPEG-Instagram optimized recipe, the color of the resultant file matches the Capture One edited file.
However, I want to export a full size version in TIFF format 16 bit. I've created a recipe for this and selected it. When I export it, the resultant file has a noticiably blue color cast to the image.
After much investigation, the cause of the blue-cast seems to be caused by the size selection. To determine this, I duplicated the default "JPEG-Instagram optimized" recipe and then separately changed the file type from JPG to TIFF and did an export. That was fine. I changed it to 16 bit and exported. That was fine. I changed it to Adobe RGB, and that was fine.
The blue color cast seems to get added when I try to define the size of the output image. My canon image sensor is 6720 x 4480 pixels.
Under the "Format and Size" Selection I've specified my sensor's width and height, and upon export, I get the blue cast.
I've reset the "Scale" to back to "width" and 1080 px and reexported, and color is normal.
I've left the the "Scale" at "width" and changed to 6720 px and get Blue cast
I've reset to ensure it still works with 1080 and then tried the "Scale" to "fixed" and 100%, and the blue cast is there.
I'm not sure where to go from here.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks,
Rob

How are you viewing the exported TIFF? Are you using a color managed viewer?

Thanks for the quick response...
For my debug experiment, I've been opening the file on my Mac with Preview. Note that I've used Preview for both the smaller TIFF file and the larger TIFF file. I would expect Preview would have the same color for both the smaller and larger file. I've also opened the blue cast file with Affinity Photo 2 and it has the same blue cast.

I recommend opening a support case and providing these screenshots and the exported TIFF. Perhaps the exported TIFF doesn't have the right ICC profile tag.
In the Preview app press Command I (for Info) and see what the metadata tells you about the TIFF color space.

Walter, Thanks for the help. I have submitted an issue/support case to Capture One. I was able to upload the raw file but the tiff file timed out. Likely because it was too large (90Mb)
