Total lost of full session during Photo Shooting
Hello,
I was doing a photoshoot (connected, tethered, Capture One latest version "studio") with my Canon R5. I use sessions only, not catalogs. The R5 did not have a memory card.
At one point, I had to do a burst of around fifty photos. Capture One displayed an error saying my hard drive (MacBook Pro) was full. I clicked OK to free up space and deleted two old shoots from my sessions.
I closed Capture One, and when reopening it, the session had completely disappeared. This happens sometimes, so I searched for the files in my Finder, but I couldn't find them. There was no trace of the files from two days of shooting.
I used Disk Drill and Wondershare Recoverit, which normally recover at least some traces of the files, but nothing at all—they completely vanished. I had made a backup on a disk the night before, but I lost all the content from my second morning.
I am 100% sure that I did not delete the session, and both Disk Drill and Recoverit offered to recover the contents of my emptied trash bin.
I am desperate; this shoot involved about twenty people, several tens of thousands of dollars, and I lost several hours of work that can't be redone.
If anyone has any idea of how or where I could search for these files, please let me know.
Thank you!
