C1 Express Deprecation

I am an amateur using a Fujifilm X series camera and who was using C1 Express. Seems to me that the better, more customer-friendly way to deal with this would have been to offer Express as the alternative to pro for amateurs with a lower cost than the Pro version. Amateurs don't need the Pro version nor can we afford it. It is months after this went into effect and I'm still trying to figure out what software to switch to for my photography. I'm currently just using the Fuji Raw Converter, but that is missing so much that was available with Express. In my opinion, this was as thoughtless move by the company. I doubt I will be purchasing the pay version as it's way too expensive for me. I'm curious at this point what other Express users have found as an alternative that handles Fuji raw files, Fuji film sims and isn't a complicated mess. Thanks!
