Relationship Between Two Keyword Libraries?
I've noticed in CO, I have two Keyword Libraries. One is Catalog Keywords and one is the current catalog name. In my case, it's "LD Pics LaCie". I don't know the relationship between the two libraries. At first I thought one might be global and the other specific but now I'm not sure. It's seems like if I edit one library, the other doesn't change.
Can anyone help me out with what the relationship is between the two libraries? Or tell me where to go to read about the differences.
I've attached a pic of my two libraries.
Thanks, Ld

Possibly the catalog keyword library has keywords just for that catalog and the other one contains keywords usable by all catalogs. Perhaps someone can confirm or correct this.

Thanks for the reply Jerry C.
So I've been playing around with the Keyword Library for a bit this is what I think is happening. The bottom library is my "default" library. In my case, it's LD Pics LaCie. Other than the fact that this is my first catalog on the system, I'm not sure how it became my "default".
Now when I create a new catalog or session, the library LD Pics LaCie appears and is populated. Above it will be either a Session Keywords library or Catalog Keywords library and this will be empty. As I assign keywords to my photos from the lower library (LD Pics LaCie), the upper library will populate with those keywords.
Basically, the upper library has keywords that are in that catalog or session while the lower library has all my keywords.
And if I create a new keyword in a catalog or session, it'll appear in both the upper and lower library.

If you create a new keyword library, it will be available across all your catalogs and sessions on that computer. They also have the advantage that you can easily create hierarchical keywords
I use several the one called Living Things is the most extensive and complicated, because I take a lot of wildlife shots, and for instance I have hierarchies like Birds>birds of prey>eagle>White-tailed Eagle.
I use more than one keyword library, instead of just one for everything. This has the advantage that if I have, for instance, a shot of an animal that includes a named person in the keywords also, I can specify if I want to that the keywords from the Living Things library are included when I export, but keywords from the Who library are not included.
The Session Keywords library shown in the screenshot is just what Capture One has complied of all the keywords used in this session - and it isn't duplicated across other sessions or catalogs. All the others are ones I have created and built up over the years.
