Convert .cop to DNG or other format for missing originals
Hello everyone...
Due to a mistake I made while restoring a backup after a disk failure I lost a number of original RAW files. Capture One still has the (editable) preview files in its library though. The files have the extension .cop and still contain a lot of information, so I would like to use those files.
Since these files are editable I am assuming that they are actually some sort of RAW format. Is there a way to convert these files to for instance DNG or something. I would of course loose resolution and perhaps color depth or something, but its better then nothing.

These are rendered Capture One previews. They have zero association with DNG. The only thing you can really do with them is export them using the QuickProof file type in the export recipe. They will be exported at the preview size that was set when they were created.

Thank you, Walter. I will do that.
The fact that these previews are editable made me assume that these files are more than just rendered images, they are so flexible that they seem to have been written in some sort of RAW format underneath.
Thanks again!
