Watermarking and AI

I've recently come across and app - Overlai - that claims to create an invisible watermark on your images which, in theory, will prevent AI from scanning and using your work. It's a new app so we'll see how it goes (I haven't downloaded it) but I wondered if simply creating a watermark in Capture One at 0 opacity will do the same thing? If watermarking even works agains AI. This may be more a question for C1 but I thought I'd put it out to the community as you all may be interested in this topic as well.
