C1 crashes importing images from sd card

When I try to load files from sd card they show up in the import window and I can select the ones to import. However, when I then select "import" Capture One crashes. Has done the repeatedly. If I download the original files from the sd card to my computer and import them they all get imported - no crash. These are SanDisk cards I have been using without a problem. Having switched to Canon r5 Mark ll from r5 everything was working fine until a few days ago. Have tried different sd card readers but get the same result - I can see the files in import window but C crashes if I try to import. I can import from sd card to hard drive, works fine
