Are the Fujifilm GFX 100 series of cameras really viable for tethering with Capture One? Is one model better than the others?
I just spent a frustrating half day trying to tether a Fuji GFX 100s II camera to Lightroom Classic without success. I have been tethering Sony cameras for several years. Now I am ready to get Capture One. But I want to know if the GFX cameras are really viable as tethering cameras or not. I am considering buying the Fuji to use for tethered work exclusively. Can it really work in Capture One? Is one version of the camera better for tethering than the others (i.e. 100, 100 II, 100s, 100s II).
I have read many posts in this forum about people having problems. Are the GFX cameras simply unfit to be tethered in any software?
Can anyone relate a success story with these cameras tethered to Capture One, sharing the model, cable, cable length used?
Thanks in advance,
-Joel

Hi Joel,
yes C1 is a great tool to shoot tethered with the Fuji. The Fuji GFX100ii is more stable than the Fuji GFX100S in my experience. I don't know about the other references, especially the 100Sii version.
Have fun shooting !

Hi Joel,
I'm shooting the GFX100ii and with a tether tools cable on a M1 Max MacBook Pro and haven't had any issues. The GFX line is great. When selecting just try to narrow down your shooting style. There can be great value to be had in the Gen 1 GFX products if you don't need the speed improvements in the Gen 2.
