Advice on building a new PC (AMD vs Intel CPU and AMD vs Nvidia GPU)

Well, as the title says. I'm going to build a new PC for Capture One (and some gaming, but it's not a concern here). In terms of CPUs, should I go for AMD or Intel? When it comes to GPUs I think it would be better to go AMD because they offer more VRAM in their GPUs. My budget is around 150$ for the CPU and 450$ for the GPU. I'm going to buy used stuff. By the way, is it worth it to get faster RAM for Capture One?
