Capture One Pro crashes when clicking on star or colour filters

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with C1 crashing as in it closes completely and entails a restart when I am sorting photos by star rating or occasionally colour rating.

When I go to Viewer > Filters and click on say **** 4 Star to just display 4 Star photos or sometimes when I click that button and then click the 3 star button it will crash.The program closes completely and my Mac offers to send a detailed Error log to Apple (which I do 90% of the time) but it hasn't been solved yet.  When C1 restarts it gives me an option to report to yourselves, again which I do.

Today I was on a short deadline and had to email best picks asap and the program crashed twice and also froze up (first time for this problem) so I've had a look on the forum and can't find a solution. Is it a known bug?

C1 is Capture One PRO 23 16.2.6.7 No updates available.
