How to stop C1 from deleting original file from Finder when changing referenced image to managed

When a referenced image is changed from "referenced" to "managed", C1 moves/deletes the original referenced file from its Finder location. How do I change from referenced to managed WITHOUT the original image being deleted? There are time when the original image is being used by another app, sometimes C! and when the file gets deleted, it breaks the other app.

    You can't change that behavior of Capture One. You can make a copy of the source folder before you move to managed, then put the copy back after. Personally I don't recommend managed catalogs, but you may have your reasons.
