The performance issue isn't with Capture One but with machines that have underpowered video cards for 4K displays. The Mac mini should have adequate horsepower for a 4K display.

    Thanks Walter.

Can anyone with an M2 or M2 pro processor chime in?

I don't know how Capture One uses the CPU and GPU, respectively.

If I have to choose between an M4 processor (GPU 10 cores) and an M4 Pro one (GPU 16 cores), should I take the one with the highest number of GPU cores?

Walter, any info on this point?

Open a support case. Provide all of your system configuration details. Capture One can help assess if the hardware is underpowered for a 32-inch 4K display. I am not an expert on that.

    Thanks Walter.

But difficult to open a support case for an as yet not purchased machine… while I am just trying to evaluate what to purchase :-) I'll try.

    For users with 4K monitors

For 4K monitors, double the system specs and invest in a high-performance GPU with ample VRAM for optimal performance.

This document says 4K users should double requirements.
