AI masking of Bicycles

Hi,

how can I get C1 to mask only the rims and tires of bicycles and leave the inside of the bicycle wheel unselected?

It doesn't really work for me. To be fair there can be instances where it works but this is rare.

I have to go in manually and erase the AI mask in the spokes. And for the background mask I will have to add the mask in the spokes

Another approach is to create a mask (on separate layer) then apply the AI brush and adjust the mask with the Refine and Luma Range controls.The more light value difference between the spokes/rim and the background the better.
