Hello Michael! I noticed your message and, assuming you were using Capture One Express, I thought I’d share this: Capture One Express Deprecation FAQ.

Dennis, the link cannot be opened by Safari. I found this in another place from Capture One: "You won’t be able to download and access Express from our website after January 30. If you already own an Express license key, you’ll no longer be able to activate this." This is not just deprecation of code. Deprecated code can be run. Unless the Express version has to be (re)activated after the original installation, it should still work on the same computer using the same camera.

Well, the link You added as admin shows pretty clear the greed of C1, i agree with the reactions.
If there is no single email account for customers that is monitored that tells a lot about the non existent CRM of C1.

    Shame on You.

Would it be possible to answer my other request regarding upgrading a perpetual license?

I'm not sure what answer you are looking for, because the question isn't clear.

You bought a perpetual licence, though I don't know what version it was, though it appears that it must be a fairly recent version, since you bought it earlier this year. The deal with a perpetual licence is that you can use that version for ever, as long as you have a computer that can run it, but it doesn't come with updates. If you want to update to a later version, logging on to your account at the Capture One website should enable you to see what your options are. If it isn't clear when you do that, you could contact Support and ask for clarification.

Or if "Please explain" means that you want to be given an explanation of the rationale behind Capture One's licensing model and commercial decisions, I am unable to supply that, and I am not sure that in a forum like this you would expect to find that.
