About to buy a new laptop - advice please

Hi all,

I've been muddling through with my 2012 MacBook Pro 13-inch and Capture One 12 for many years. Now, with a heavy heart, I've decided it's time to upgrade!

I still need to keep my old setup running for my FireWire Phase One back, but I've found a well-priced option:

2024 Apple MacBook Air 13.6", M3 Processor, 24GB RAM, 512GB SSD.

I really want to keep everything lightweight and compact, as I mostly do reportage work. About once a month, I find myself in the studio doing tethered work, mostly portraits with a Canon 5D Mark IV.

The question is: aside from needing to get a USB-A hub, will this setup work well? Is anyone using this combo?
