Support for Sony a1 ii
Hi, I know it's a new camera. but can you please add support for the a1 ii.
Maybe I am not the only one working between Christmas and New Year. :-)
PS. I am sure you are working on it anyway. :-)

I was wondering why the ARW Raw photos were not showing up in the import and only the jpeg files. Can I assume that we will have the RAW + Audio supported in the very near future. I say audio because I attached audio voice messages to some of the files I shot to help me in post and they did not get selected in the downloads.

Why do we need to open a ticket for Capture One? Don’t they pay attention to the market and know there’s a new camera coming out?

I'm sure they do keep an eye on the market. But opening a ticket (or upvoting an existing one) helps them gauge the relative demand among Capture One users for the various new cameras that come out, and to prioritise their efforts accordingly.

It seems Adobe beat CO to the market as Lightroom Classic already has support for my new A1M2.

Also ON1 supports the new A1.

This is seriously frustrating

I've got an A1ii and would like C1 support as well.

I would like the flagship sony camera to work with the industry standard tethering software too

There are many requests for this camera. I recommend upvoting and commenting on one of them.

Pretty shocked about this. Another vote to please expedite A1 II support!

Hi everyone, this is a known problem for Cap One for some reason. They lock the files support by reading the Exif, I am guessing a hold over from when you had to buy a version for a camera type.... since it should be all for one now that they only offer PRO.... You can edit the EXIF for A1 II raw files using a program like EXIF Editor, and just remove the M2 from the name of the camera so it just says ILCE-1 and save, then poof and magic it opens just fine. As it is the same sensor as the A1, the raw files are no different except the EXIF now says ILCE-1M2.

steven scagnelli .. Capture One has a defined set of supported cameras they have tested. They do not add a camera to that list until they complete there tests. I'm guessing the A1 II is being tested and will be added in a update.

Dear C1 support, is there any ETA for the this? It's been a month. Thank you

There is no difference between the A1 and A1 II snesor. This was the same problem with the A7R5 and the A7CR. Being I have the A1 II, and I just used the command line tool with " exiftool -Model="ILCE-1" -overwrite_original . " with all the images in the same folder.... and can now open and edit them just fine. It is a file list block based on EXIF.... and it is silly at this point they do it this way. At a min they should move the support EXIF to an XML file so users can add new models that use the same raw files as others in the series.

Support for the Sony a1 II is included in the 16.5.4 update released today.

Already posted and pinned on the top Ian Wilson :) with a link to download

Thanks. It was the pinning to the top that fooled me - I looked at the end of the thread and didn't see it!

I'm a Capture One Pro user, my build is 16.4.6.20.
It's the last from the 16.4 series.
Would there be any chance to get support for Sony a1 II with Capture One 16.4 please ?
Could we expect a 16.4.6.xx with support for Sony a1 II ?
Or do we have no choice but to upgrade to 16.5.4 ?
Thank you.
