Stuck on Splash Screen - Windows 10 (Capture One 23 v16.5.2)

Capture One Pro 23 fails to open and sticks on opening splash screen since update to v16.5.2

My troubleshooting process.

I had a couple older versions of Capture One left over from previous upgrades so in an attempt to fix this problem I uninstalled everything of Capture One on my PC.

I then reinstalled the first version of Capture One 23 I bought - v16.3.1 as I keep all the downloads from previous versions. This loads a different splash screen of a black woman and it works.

I then installed v16.3.8 the suggested update. Same black woman splash screen and it works.

Lastly I installed the latest update v16.5.2 this shows the new splash screen of gray mountains, hills and water but it fails to open and it stays on the splash screen.

 

Where do I go from here please?

    Did you manage to solve the issue?  I'm having the same problem.

    I could only get 16.3.8 to work so I'm stuck on that one.

    Ok.  I finally managed to get it to work.  Do the following:

     

    1.Uninstall the older version using a third party uninstaller to ensure complete removal from the system. (I used IObit Uninstaller.

    2. Install the latest version and activate.

    I hope it works for you.
