    @...

I'm not quite sure what is happening here. You say you "transfer using preview", but I don't understand what you mean by that.

Presumably you are using some of the export recipes provided in Capture One, to export iamges? Can you show us a screenshot of your export panel, showing what recipe(s) are selected?

If that's not what you are doing, can you say in detail what you are doing?

It looks as though your file naming may be the issue. You have the name set to Christmas 2024 - church and the Existing Files option set to Overwrite. I think that means that every file you export gets the same name, and as each one is exported, it overwrites the previous one.

How about changing the naming. If you use the token Image Name (see my screenshot) you will get the existing file name. If you add some text to that (where I have 2048px) such as "adjusted" you will get the exported images with a different file name from the original image files but each with a unique file name.

I did as you said and yes that worked.  Thank you.  I have over 100,000 images in my collection and this was the first time I had ever had a problem.

Probably a case of inadvertently changing the naming. I'm glad you've been able to put it right.

Ian, what is the utility of being able to overwrite Existing Files? Sounds like a solution in search of a problem.

I personally have created output files, noticed something that needed fixing, and recreated them with overwrite.

As Walter Rowe demonstrates, some users find it useful. It was introduced a few versions back largely in response to popular demand. The alternative is that if you re-process a file, you can end up with output images called things like DSC12345.JPG, DSC12345 1.JPG, DSC12345 2.JPG etc.

Personally, I don't like to use this feature, but I understand that it suits some. If you don't like it (and I don't) you can turn it off, and then forget about it.
