    Hi Jan,

There are very few features that are exclusive to MacOS, we try as much as possible to keep parity between the two platforms.

Live for Studio is the obvious exception here. AppleScripting is another one (as it's not available on Windows). This should be pretty much it.

Replace background with Photoroom is NOT exclusive to MacOS, you can also use it on Windows, as well as the new capabilities for expanding backgrounds with Photoroom.

AI crop functions the same on both platforms - if you are unhappy about the results please reach out to the support team with photos as examples so we can investigate.

    Best,

    Mathieu

    Hi Mathieu, good to hear.

I asked about Replace background with Photoroom when 16.5.0 came out beacuse the menu wasn't there, and was told it was only available in Mac. Hadn't checked since, but it is there now.

As to what features are MacOS only, here's a few that come to mind.

Windows has no scripting language support and thus no ability to automate any workflow.  Mac has Apple Scripting.  There are many reasonable scripting choices for Windows including PowerShell (built into Windows), Javascript and Python.   A Javascript or Python implementation could have easily been done cross platform so one common implementation for both platforms.

Windows has no full screen view.  Mac has a full screen view.  This seems like such a no-brainer feature for an image editor.  Not sure why it doesn't exist on Windows.

The Windows plug-in system appears to pretty much be abandoned as it's not capable of doing much, the documentation is abysmal and there is no active support for it anywhere.

JF , I was thinking the exact same thing about the scripting.
I do a lot of powershell myself, so would obviously prefer that but I also had the same thoughts about cross-platform compatibility for Javascript or Python :)
