Editing Fuji recipes?

Hi everyone sorry if this has been asked before I have tried searching but can only find that the image would not be editable if it was in a non RGB format and read only. I don't think that that's the case so I was wondering if I'm missing something and when shooting a recipe it does change to a format capture one cant edit or if its because I am using the free Fujifilm raw converter to edit my pictures.
