There isn't an eraser tool in Capture One.

However, you can sometimes get a good result with the healing brush tool. See this example, where I have added an arrow pointing to the branch I removed.

In a case like that it works quite well. I chose to move the selection point used by the heal tool until I liked the result. There are limits to what can be done with that tool, though, and in more complicated cases it may be a job for a pixel editor such as Affinity Photo, or Photoshop, which have more extensive tools for complex retouching. I'd say that most times I get the result I want using the healing tool in Capture One, but occasionally I need a different app, designed for retouching.

There's a tutorial from Capture One about the healing tool here. https://youtu.be/xTHhhfgpRXQ?si=nBlBbSC4sp7sPiG2  It's based on retouching to remove blemishes from a model's skin, but the same principles apply for using the tool on any kind of shot.

There's another tutorial here, using the heal and clone tools on landscape shots. https://youtu.be/LSnXNHUqYB0?si=qILiyWgtRU0WlXJR

    Hope that helps.

I been using this tool yesterday. But what I find hard work is that I need to change the brush size, keep right clicking all the time is slow going! Is there A short cut like in photoshop using the [ ] to make big or smaller  keys to do it at all, please?

Yes, the same [ and ] shortcut should work in Capture One.
