Keyboard Shortcut Question
I am stumped. In the keyboard shortcut list, under 'select' there is an option to select 'first' or 'last'. Depending on the keyboard configuration, the command key is held down and then a key that has an arrow going on a 45-degree angle to the top left (first) or the bottom right (last).
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out which key (or key combination) that symbol represents. I have looked into Alt codes, I have looked into European Keyboard setups (I'm in Canada on a North American setup). I have tried the right arrow key and the down key simultaneously while holding the command key down.. Nothing. The only thing I have found is that if I go into the emoji menu I can find the SouthEast and the NorthWest arrows but there has to be an easier way.
I'm certain it's an easy fix. Can someone please let me know how to, by using the keyboard, get to the first or the last image in a session? Aside from scrolling through all of the images, of course.
Thanks. I'm on 16.5.4.26 on a Mac, OSX 14.7.1

have you tried fn-key together with arrow left/right? I think the 45degree arrow shows on a extended keyboard only.

That rather depends on your model of keyboard.
With my original iMac (circa 2011 vintage) I used the extended keyboard with the number pad, and it had keys like that. (Excuse the rather grubby old keyboard!)
With my newer iMac, and a newer keyboard, I don't have the same keys. (And yes, the new keyboard needs a clean too.)
... and with the magic keyboard that doesn't have a number pad, or with a MacBook, there are fewer keys anyway.
However, if you edit the keyboard shortcuts, you can set the action to be performed by any key combination that makes sense to you. (Edit menu - Edit keyboard shortcuts.)
