Migrate from Mac OSX to Windows 10

I'm using C1 V20 on my MacBook Pro. In addition I have installed it (today) on a Surface Pro 7 (for more mobility). I want to sync all my styles, settings, workspaces, shortcuts etc.

I successfully copied
- Recipes
- Styles
- Templates

But I have issues with
- Workspaces
- Keyboard shortcuts
because on the mac these are .plist files while .xml is required in Windows 10.
Is there any chance to 'export/import' the files?

Any advice is appreciated.

    Unfortunately, the file format of custom workspaces and keyboard shortcuts are not cross-platform compatible.

    I've just done the same thing as you but I'm having no luck importing my recipes in C1 21. I realise the export process has changed but I copied the recipes into the windows Recipes folder after deleting the default set, but the default set still shows up and my imported recipes don't. Have you got any pointers for me?

    I'm sorry but I'm not using a Windows device anymore and cannot remember what to do.

    Thanks anyway. Yeah I’m not finding the transition a smooth one. Hopefully it’s just a stopgap. If anyone else can offer any tips I’d be very grateful. Thanks.

    Hi Adrian,

    Recipes are cross-platform compatible. Make sure you put the recipes in the right folder, like Recipes143 if you have Capture One (build 14.3).

    Also, note that you have to update the location in each recipe from Capture One.

    This is not working for me Paul.

    I've installed them all in C:\Program Files\Capture One\Capture One 21\Recipes143\ for my 14.3 build of C1. Is there some sort of caching going on? I've made some new recipes but I can't see them in the recipes folders for C1.

    The i found that wasn't the right place to put them so i put them in the user app data folder and yes, it works. Now where do the folder and file naming presets live? hmm

    File and folder naming presets are an exception in the sense that they are not stored in separate files like other presets. They are stored in the preferences file of Capture One. As a result you have to manually recreate them on your other computer.
