Sliders do nothing

When I use an adjustment slider, the values change, but the image doesn't. What's happening? I'm evaluating Pro 12 Fuji in Windows.

    Well, something weird is happening. But with so little information, it's hard to tell.

    I suggest you post in one of the Capture One subforums, so that we know which platform you use, and give more details. Or you open a support case.

    Just a guess:
    Are you working on a layer? If yes, did you create a mask? If not, do so.
